In September 2009, the Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau generously hosted Apostle Hall and Trustee Ingrid for Sunseta tour of Anchorage and its surrounding areas. During our eight day stay we had the opportunity to see and understand why God called us to do this conference in Anchorage.  We were in awe! And now we are so excited to welcome you in 2010 so that we may all sit at the feet of the Most High and bask in all that He has in store for us during our "Mountiantop Expereince".

We are expecting a tremendous spiritual revival in a land that offers numerous reminders of the awesomeness of God!  Click here for a glimpse of Anchorage.  Click here to view photos from FREE SPIRIT'S September 2009 voyage to Anchorage.

    December 3, 2009

Anchorage offers so much to see and do and it all somehow seems to bring you closer to an appreciation of the wonders of God:  Landing on a glacier atop Mt. McKinley; flying over majestic mountains or sailing across a pristine glacial lake.  The wildlife, nature and wormth of the people just seem to embrace you in the love of Jesus.

Plan to spend somGlacier at Mt. McKinleye extra time in Anchorage to enjoy what could be a once in a lifetime adventure.  The special conference hotel rates have been extended to three days prior to or three days post the conference dates.

Anchorage Weather & Wear

Expecting extreme cold and dark days?  Forget it.  Not in September.  Anchorage in September provides the best of weather, foilage, and daylight time.

Anchorage is embraced by the Chugach Mountains and warmed by the waters from the Pacific Rim. The city has a moderate, maritime climate, with low humidity that contributes to Anchorage’s comfortable temperature.

Spring through fall, Anchorage's climate is similar to San Francisco's spring weather; summer highs average 65 degrees. Winter brings snow with temperatures ranging between 10 and 34 degrees, creating a climate very much like the ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains, Canada or Europe.

The key to comfort is to dress in layers – it’s the best way to be prepared when taking advantage of the areas many outdoor activities. Comfortable walking shoes and warm socks are appropriate for all seasons. In winter, bring heavier layers, including long underwear, hat, gloves and warm boots. Anchorage’s informality makes casual wear welcome virtually everywhere.
