On Saturday, May 17th FSRT participated in the Muscular Dystrophy Association's (MDA) 2008 Stride & Ride. Visit the PHOTO GALLERY for a snapshot of the event! The MDA is a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans. FSRT has set a goal to raise $1000 to support this worth-while cause. To date we’ve raised over $500 including what we gave during the day of the walk. Please join us in this effort and donate today! This was FSRT's first time participating in this annual event and we were both humbled and blessed to be a part of it. During the event we were inspired by the stories of families living with MD and their courage and strength (Visit our site soon for photos of the event and  personal stories of strength from Stride $ Ride participants.)  Pastor Hall has a personal testimony which was shared in an article inspired by a letter that she wrote to the association in 2001 [Volume 8 No. 6 December 2001 addition of the Quest Magazine -- the official magazine of the MDA.]

The MDA is help, hope, and knowledge that impart a desire to survive and live the fullness of life for the millions of people impacted by neuromuscular diseases worldwide. Funds raised by this program supports life-changing research, services to families including medical, therapy, and equipment to enhance the quality of life such as wheelchairs, walking and breathing aids.  Additionally, funds support the MDA summer camp program which allows children affected by neuromuscular disease to enjoy and participate in a camp experience that brings them together with their peers in a safe and easy to navigate environment.

FSRT participated in a Walk in support of clean water access on March 22 in Arlington, VA.
